Village Woman in South Khorasan Photo

Photographer’s Note

They are wearing colorful moslem dress, not all black colors. Not wearing any make up, similar to village woman from all over the world, I guess...

They are not involving in welcoming guests to their village. Just watching from a distance, from roadside. All welcoming activities are conducted by man, as I previously mentioned.

your photo's are getting better and better.
I got interested because I had no idea were Khorasan was, and reading your note, I realy feel I learned something again. I like the expression on their faces, waiting to see what will happen, and what they will hear from these starnge people . . .

It makes me allways a bit sorry when they hide their faces. If there is a God I think he didn't want us to hide it, not even females. But appart of my first thoughts I like this image and the colours of their dresses. A nice composition. Indeed, I'm glad that they are not dressed in black.

A nice collection of women in their traditional dresses, the atmosphere is quite dark already but you managed to pull out fine details from it, which is good.

Good day Benyamin.
Good choice to photograph the women. THe dress is very colorful, but what I like the most here are the different expression in their eyes. Some just casually looking on with mild amusement others glancing towards you..but, the shorter woman to the left in the faded green covering...she makes this photo great. The eyes looking sheepishly right at the camera, shy and inquisitive at the same time. Her eyes make the viewer feel as though she is looking right at them.

This is a wonderful travel photograph! I like how some of the girls/women are ignoring you but a few brave ones are looking right into the camera lens. The girl on the left is a real rebel, and the smile on her face makes the image - my eyes just keep coming back to her. Your exposure, DOF, and composition are right on the money.
