Photographer’s Note

The city of Mahan is located in the southeast of Kerman. At a distance of 6 km. from the south of Mahan, is a beautiful and large garden named "Shazdeh Garden" which is a rectangular green oasis surrounded by brown desert. "Shazdeh Garden" meaning Prince’s Garden is a historical Persian garden. The structure is relative to the Qajar era. There are various pools constructed in the garden that is sheltered with fine trees.
The garden was built for and during the eleven years of the governance of Abdolhamid Mirza Naserodolleh (during Qajar dynasty). The construction was left unfinished due to death of Abdolhamid Mirza in early 1890s.

The garden is 5.5 hectares with a rectangular shape and a wall around it. It consists of an entrance structure and gate at the lower end and a two-floor residential structure at the upper end. The distance between these two is ornamented with water fountains that are engined by the natural incline of the land. The garden is a fine example of Persian gardens that take advantage of suitable natural climate.

Hi Atousa,
Interesting place for visit and study related history, good shoot to show big part of green land from the garden even the fountain also in green, I just forgot it is locate in the middle of desert, WS also very nice to show the old architecture, well done.

Nicely captured night view of the garden and fountain to show the element of water among the garden trees. Perhaps I would try f/10 and shutter of say 3s for this kind of night shot to get a different effect.

Fantastic night colors and splendid effect of long exposure. I liked nice capture of frozen water jets and mix of green-red lights in your well taken night scene. Ending with illuminated pavilion very nice with terraced pools too. Your complementary post very nicely shows beautiful architecture of pavilion with busy visitors, an excellent addition. Hello Atousa, This time I do not prefer your WS version only because they are very different this one taken at night is lovely because of it's colours & reflections But I feel that the daytime one is equally as nice with the closer look making the entrance pavilion the main focus, a very interesting structure it is.
