A tribute to our very good friend :
* Norbert Woehnl ( nwoehnl ) *
The building in the shot is not a historical place!...it's a high class hotel namely "Daaryoush Hotel" that is made with notice to Perspolis' elements and architecture.
The hotel is located in Kish Island in Persian Gulf,and the Island is located 18 kilometres off the southern Iranian coasts.
The island lies 300 kilometers from Bandar Abbas,200 kilometers from the Emirate of Dubai,and 1,600 kilometers in land route,or 1,052 kilometers in air route,from Tehran.
The relatively oval island has an area of over 90 square kilometers: 15 km long(east-west) and 7 km wide (north-south).

Very swish looking hotel, and a nice tribute to Norbert, but I don't think you've quite caught his style here. I think the main thing it likes in that respect is the people, which is almost NOrbert's trademark. Still, a god shot of this place.

Hi Mohammad, A very nice composition. The decoration of the roadway and garden show the well maintained upscale place. A nice color combination and a well captured dramatic cloud, which highlighted the building. Nice contrast and clear image. Well done.

Hi Mohammad - what a surprise, I am honored by your tribute. And indeed you found a considerable amount of elements that I like in a photo - a diagonal perspective and depth, graphical details, patterns of shadows and light, and saturated colors. And even a special kind of sky that I also enjoy. The only thing missing is a lively detail on the road ... which gave me the idea for a funny WS ;-)

Hi Mohammad, very nice photo and perspective with the road flanked by trees in the foreground leading the eye towards this impressive building. Very nice light and the white hotel is standing out very nice against the light grey sky. Well captured!

Mohammed, it looks like a photo of a road... It's a shot without any idea. I think this beautiful building would deserve it. Regards

I like here the good palm tree perspective and the light nicely striking the hotel structure, its white structure also contrasts with the darker sky behind in a very nice way, well done !
Have a nice evening,

I like the graphism, perspective, & repetition of the palm trees. Excellent sharpness, lighting, & pov. Well done.

It's a very nice catch Mr M. I l ike to follow this perspective and discover all these good details. The street and the scene looks to clean here to be real ;o), I feel a special atmospher here...the silence...it is quite paradoxal for a street road...It's nicely captured.

The title is attractive about the ancient and Persan side of Iran and remind the time of a very old Empire one of the fundation of our civilisation.
Impressive building from this Island, just the kind of hotel you can go wityh a numerous family ( if polygamy is still allowed in your country :)))
Good composition with a perfect use of the road to go into the subject;
I like it

Une bonne perspective agrémente cette composition à la mode "Woehnl"
Je note aussi une très bonne profondeur; le quartier est très bien agencé.
Un très bon travail.
A good perspective decorates this "Woehnl" mode composition.
I note also a very good depth; the district is very well arranged.
Very well done.

I think Norbert us friend very satisfied with this tribute. Again a very lovely image of you country, all the cars are disappeared, the palmtrees give a excellent perspective, but also the garden on the right hand make you picture very attractive for looking.
Regard my friend,

Very interesting composition Mohammad, all the lines and angles, the highlighted hotel against the cloudy sky. Very sharp with excellent color saturation. Very well done, Don
CliffW (2377) 2005-05-29 11:03
This is a fine, broad, tree lined street Mohammad and the building looks great against the muted sky. I think I too think it would be even better with some life along the road, among the nice shadows. Very nice as it is as well though.

nice shot talking about our old ancient heritage :) I love it when I see people tries to keep our ancient heritage still in mind ... as government doesnt seem to try much ... Great composition , sharp shot ...

nice Photographer's Note .
pamastro (7290) 2005-06-05 2:25
Nice perspective using the road and trees to lead us to the hotel. I like how it sort of winds at the end which lets us lead ourselves in an engaging way up to the hotel. I can see what you mean with the idea of going back to Persepolis with the building design. The columns do give a feel of that old architecture with so many columns in the palace. It's also interesting how you have this nice big hotel but no one going to it in this shot. Is there a commentary there? Nicely done, Mohammad with this nice crisp clean shot with excellent lines.
