Photographer’s Note

Contrary to how Iran is portrayed in the western media, the presence of western tourists in the country is quite noticeable; I'm not an Iranian and during our trip, along with my family, not only did we encounter many many westerners but also we found Iranians very hospitable and, the prevalence of general law and order across the country- something that is unfortunately missing in my home countries of Pakistan and Afghanistan (I belong to both of them!)

The above picture is from the ruins of Persepolis which is located about 60 km north of Shiraz, Iran.
