Just in the heart of Kashan’s Bazar, Shah Soltan Ahmad’s bathroom is the place where King Soltan used to take his baths. The bath which was more like a ceremony consisted of different parts such as “Kise Keshi”, “Khazineh”, and “Moshtemal”. The servants of the king used to scrub the king’s skin and add soap and different natural lotions to him. Then the king entered the “Khazineh” and washed the soap off his skin. At the end, “Moshtemal” people came in and gave the king a relaxing Massage.
The bath ceremony usually took a whole day and servants had to take food for the King. Musical instruments where also played in the bathroom and a singer had to sing for the Shah during his stay in the bathroom. |

Nice photo but sad to see this historical place in such a condition.
Thanks for sharing.
