Sheikh Lotf ala Mosque is one of the architectural masterpieces of Safavid Iranian architecture, standing on the eastern side of Naghsh-i Jahan Square, Esfahan, Iran.
It was built in 1615 by the orders of Shah Abbas I of the Safavid dynasty.
The architect (Mimar) of the edifice was Muhammad Reza ibn Ustad Hosein Banna Esfahani. He finished construction of the mosque in 1618.

Hello Bahram,
very nice the view of the Sheikh Lotf ala Mosque. An impressive Iranian architecture with wonderful light and colours, except from the sky which is a little bit overexposured. Some nice tones and textures and good sharpness.

nice photo of this wonderful piece of architecture.

Hi Bahram,
Very good detail in the dome with the coloured tiles shown nicely. This looks similar to some Iranian architecture we have here in Dubai.
Thanks for your comments to my last photo.
Cheers Grant

Hi Bahram!

I have passed through all of your pictures of Iran with great interest. It's a possibility to get some other impressions of that beautiful country than by watching TV...

I like the symmetry in your picture very much and therefore it's absolutely important to center the picture. But more than that I appreciate the colours and the soft light spread out over the whole picture. The three persons in the lower left corner disturb a little bit, because the eye is too much captured by them even though they are not the main subject.

Regards
Markus

Hi Bahram,
Another miracle on your picture from Iran. Its real masterpiece - just magnificent mosque.
Perfect sharpeness and interesting POV, great shades of blue make this pic really good one.
I would like to see this mosque also exactly from the front...
Greetings,
Aga
