This is a part of a volcanic place where is located almost 150~160 Km south east of Tehran, after Qom city towards Kashan,in margin of Dasht-e Kavir or great desert in the middle of the Iranian Plateau.

I'm not an expert in geological knowledge, but I think the place has 10,000 years old and not active.

Welcome:)

Beautiful photo of the layered chocolate, Mohammad :o) The disposition of light in this photo is very good to enhance the visible detail of the surface texture and the geological layers found in these unique formations. Good contrasts and a nice color palette. The area looks a bit like a distant cousin of the Badlands in South Dakota. Well captured, thanks.

Superbe compo Mohammad, de très belles teintes et un ensemble très graphique
j'aime beaucoup
bien vu et bien réalisé
amicalement
Xavier

Hi Mohammad,
A very peculiar composition here. The geologic forms of these volcanic rocks and lava seem organic. They have strange textures and very special colors.
You have made a good frame and you have managed the adjustments to obtain a photo with quality very well, great sharpness, good lighting and natural colors.
Done very well.
Regards,
Josep

Hi M.
Incredible pattern and colors. This desert looks so dramtic through this sharp and well captured image.

Mohammad.
Not Chocolate, but beautiful as a nice dress!
again a wonderful capture, very thanks dear.

The light makes the layers of this 'chocolate' shimmer. The textures are decious and go through such a grand variety from rough to smooth and nearly silky. The wrinkes on the stone face almost seem like a garment carelessly thrown on the floor, after a long day. Perfectly beautiful and interstingly sensual.

One word BEAUTIFUL.

Hi Mohammad

Indeed these rocks must be very old! The layers have very fine colors. The lighting is somewhat hursh but not disturbing. Very nice work.

Very very beautiful and special place you present here - surely not something to be seen around here - we lack vulcanos (am I glad to add ;-) You did a very fine job spotted this sight and thanks a lot for sharing it with us.

Best wishes

amazing landscape, mohammad! :-)
it reminds me, too, of the badlands,
but they were with more white and yellow parts,
not so beautifully chocolate colored.
excellent composition of the differently colored layers and patterns and small(?) "canyons".
well done & take care, thor.

This looks almost like an abstract painting, Mohammad - certainly something you could frame and hang on a wall and nobody would realise it was a landscape photograph! Good exposure and sharpness. Cheers . . . David

Hi Mohammad
I really like the tight framing which shows off the textures and colours brilliantly. It looks so weird which is what I like about volcanic landscapes.

Hi Mohammad.
I don't know much about this volcanic area in Iran (I've just worked a bit on the Zagros mountain, but without never coming there), but what I can say is that these piles of colorful volcanoclastic layers are really nice. I really enjoy the way you managed your composition using the different lines to give good dynamism to the result. The colors are just great.
Thanks for sharing.

Hi Mohammad,
A remarkable shot, and indeed it resembles the rippled ice cream
my grandmother used to serve me. The clarity and colours are well seen and the bands of rock very impressive. This is a geological wonder. All the best.
John

Olá Mohammad,
Excellent detail approach of this amazing texture. It's not chocolate, but it seems like a marble cake. A very expressionist painting that I love. Congratulations!
Friendly regards,
Ricardo

A chocolate too and it's indeed a box with chocolates, ha, ha, what we can do with it indeed:-)) Excellent and very sharp shot of this nature with all it's colours and textures, really nice !
