Another shot in the serie about the Dasht-e Kavir ,also known as Kavir-e Namak or Great Salt Desert where is a large desert lying in the middle of the Iranian Plateau.

***
In front of the Maranjab caravanserai, there is a beautiful Garden with a pool (You see a part of it here in the shot) and some ducks and birds.
In the shot, also you can find a white horizon that is a big Salt Lake and indeed it's an amazing lake there.

But about water in this desert and in this pool, the main population-limiting factor in the area is lack of water. For a best use of water, these people have
created a complicated well-system known as "Ghanat". Dating back to thousands of years ago and still working, these "Ghanats" are comparable to the most modern Technologies of water-revenue.

Researches say the total length of the Ghanats with its underground ducts in Iran is as long as the distance between the Earth and the Moon !

Welcome :)

Beautiful view, composed of 3 horizontal lines. A panoramic view (by cropping the top) would have been interesting too.

Interesting photo but also interesting note Mohammad. AS usually happen in your photos, sky is amaking, I never get tired to see it. It´s also fantastic the fact of water, animals... life itself in the middle of the dessert. Thanks

Wow! What space! The water in the foreground emphasises that barrenness of the expanse beyond. Again, your notes are so interesting Mohammad. You certainly showcase the beauty and contrasts of Iran very well - a good ambassador. Keep it up.

Nice shot Mohammad. The person at the water's edge makes the picture more dramatic. TFS.

Hello Mohammad. Very nice shot, the deep colors of the clouds and the red earth are an excellent combo. I also like the 2 people at the water, which makes a great scale. Nice job.

Hi Mohammad,
beautiful dark colours of the water and the sky in contrast with the sunlit sand. Good graphics with the white stripe of salt as a good extra.
thanks and regards, Gerrit

Mohammad, this look stunning. The emptiness of the scene, is really a very busy place!! The ancient water system bringing so much help to the area, the ducks, the desert, the salt lake going on for miles, and in the distance the stormy sky with some birds in flight. . Well composed image, very well done, thank you.

Hi Mohammad

I like the horizontal layering here, into just 3 elements. The yellow vs blue color contrast, & subtle reflections, are great. Tfs!

This is a nice simple composition with great light and a lot of mood, Mohammad. Dark clouds and a sunny foreground are generally a great combination, especially in hands like yours. Regards, Ken.

hi mohammad
a gorgeous landscape, colours, "dense" sky;
it is unbelievablehow hard it is tosee the end of the horizon;
best wishes, jerzy

Hi Mohammad I like the simplicity of this. The sky is dark and deept contrasting the pool in the foreground. I like the idea of 'dividing' the frame into three parts too. Good to show the person to give scale of this place. Simple yet effect composition, very enjoyable. TFS.

Hi Mohammad,
You show us each time a very beautiful picture of your country, a school example with three parts in horizontal, I learn each time of your good note too!
A picture with great quality.
Cheers,
John.

Hi Mohammad,
Excellent frame for this desert landscape. The colors are very dramatic and intense, and the photo has a great depth of field. I like the horizontal lines that they form the water and the desert. The detail of the birds flying and the ducks near of the water give life to the set.
Regards,
Josep

Hi Dear Mohammad.
nice view. great landscape shot.
i really like to see maranjab.

azad

Here are the lines ! !
What an "artwork", nice use of the space in the sky too !

Mohammad, Amazing colors for such a stark place. Good historical content and the description Ghanat systems. I like people add that touch to photos. They say a picture tells a thousand words but it always nice to add to that. Great post! Ross

Hi Mohammad,
Layers upon layers - the gradations of interest in this shot are fascinating. Such a pristine area, yet lacking water. It sounds like an ingenious system the people have developed over the centuries. Very fine tones and a crisp clear image. A very fine capture, Mohammad.
John

Mohammad,
A well composed shot, a total mind blower on colour & light...
I am amazed at your sense of light & this needs no intoduction!.
TFS
Prem.
