First, let me invite you to see my first post about Great Salt Desert or Dasht-e Kavir (also known as Kavir-e Namak)where is a large desert laying in the
middle of the Iranian Plateau. This is is second in this serie.

* 800 km long and 320 km wide.
* Between the provinces of Khorasan, Semnan, Tehran, Esfahan and Yazd.
* 50 °C in summer,average in January is 22 °C.
* Day and night temperatures during a year can differ
up to 70 °C.
* Rain usually falls in winter.
* Heavy storms frequently occur.

The extreme heat and many storms in Dasht-e Kavir cause extensive erosion, which makes it almost impossible to cultivate the lands.
The desert is almost uninhabited and knows little exploitation. Camel and sheep breeding and agriculture are the sources of living to the few people living on its soil.

Vegetation in the Dasht-e Kavir is adapted to the hot and arid climate as well as to the saline soil in which it is rooted. Common plant species like shrubs and grasses can only be found in some valleys and on mountain tops, and also You can find many tamarisk trees in this desert. The most widespread plant is mugwort.

***
I will go on the desert serie,Hope you like the serie,
Welcome !

Hi Mohammad,
It's a dramatic shot. If I look carefully I can see some red in the ground. In that sense, I guess that it's not B&W! The composition is excellent. Strange to see all these clouds after reading your comment...
Nicolas

This photo is a poem by it self Mohammad. The light is very powerful here, the clouds menacing. Very impressive one. Take care.

Dear Master,It seems you always come up with a great idea and implement it even greater .This dreamlike photo reminds of Mansoor Hallaj ,but I really don't know why? I will be following the new theme u have created and I'm sure the photos will be getting better and better.TFS

Wow, this is colour, at first sight I thought a rare B&W from you. Great example of rather a well served minimalist movement going on the moment. Nice work.

Hi Mohammad,
Good picture from the silhouette of this wild formed tree against the rainy sky.
Thanks and regards, gerrit

Bonsoir mon ami Mohammad,
Philippe

Good morning Mohammad,
fascinating sky; threatening, not the best weather ahead but great to take with this dynamic. Well 'decorated' with the tree's silhouette.
Thanks for the note.

Hi Mohammad,
Very doleful picture with a dramatic atmosphere but your show us excellent the reality of the dark period in desert. Good contrast between the dark foreground and the more light sky.
Best regards,
John.

Hi Mohammad

Fantastic graphism & silhouettes, of the lonely gnarled looking old tree, against the sky. Good sharpness & well composed. Congratulations!

Hi Mohammad. A moody and well-framed study from the desert, where the tree is well placed in the off-centered position and its distinctively shaped silhouette adds a lot of character to the photo. Good contrast and nice subtle lighting. Greetings from Osaka.

Hi Mohammad,
Well composed with superb ambience. In the gathering dusk the silhouettes are like ghosts and the tree standing stalwart in the wind has much character. The sky is very impressive, with a stormy allure. A very fine capture, my friend. Captivating.

Hi Mohammad,
I like the b/w effect in this photo. It is more powerful than the other photo. The b/w makes the scene eerie, and one can almost hear the rumbling clouds.
Excellent work done here. I have a lot to learn from you.

Hi Mohammad, this composition transmits a disquieting solitude to me, is an image that speaks by itself, the clouds that that seems rain threatens and the silhouette of the solitary tree with the illuminated horizon makes of this photo a symphony of emotions.

Congratulations.

It receives a hug from Spain.
Paco

Hello Mohammad,
Beautiful contrasting colors. Very nice grey-cloudy sky.
