Judging by this shot and the rest in your collection, you are truly a master of light. I love how each hill alternates; light, dark, light, dark, light, dark. Exposure is excellent, keeping the shadows dark, but not too dark. Nice telephoto-effect here. Regards, Ryan.

Dear Lucie, You say that you were lucky to get these shadows (I remember you had used this term before in your notes about some of your photos) but I think it is not just luck, It is also about how you look to your surroundings and capture it at the right moment. So for me it is not only in the category of NATURE but also belongs to the category of DECISIVE MOMENT.

Yes another amazing landscape photograph!
The second row of trees are almost like a reflection of the ones in the foreground.
So many contrasting colours and layers, it's lovely.

I love the contrasting mood of this photo and the way it is built across several plans. Composition is so wonderful and the picture so sharp. The deep warm color toning is dreamlike, lending a sense of abandon to the picture. Very good.

Hello Lucie, the colours of the mountains are of course wonderful but its your capture of the light that makes this image special. It's amazing how there are the different layers of dark and light starting with the light trees in the foreground and ending with the dark sky behind. A stunning composition.

This is a great photograph Lucie. I like the way you managed to capture the five different light bands, alternating light and shadow, in the one image. The tonal quality is almost like that of an infra red image. Very good compositon and framing.

It is very interesting - I've never seen the same lighting efect in the nature - It's like a computer trick with many layers but somehow I feel it is real. I like this dynamic impression of the shadow/highlight areas.

I have just discovered this beautiful picture Lucie.
The shadows are so dark in contrast with the areas bathed in sunshine;and I like the hard rocky mountains contrasting with the softer feathery feel of the trees in the f/g.
The colours are outstanding, tfs.

Unbelievable!
This kind of picture is a dream for any geologist. A mineral landscape with such a dramatic lighting is a great moment that you captured so well.
The bright trees in the forefront are perfectrly placed to enhance the landscape.
