[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
"Respect has great importance in everyday life. As children we are taught (one hopes) to respect our parents, teachers, and elders, school rules and traffic laws, family and cultural traditions, other people's feelings and rights, our country's flag and leaders, the truth and people's differing opinions. And we come to value respect for such things; when we're older, we may shake our heads (or fists) at people who seem not to have learned to respect them. We develop great respect for people we consider exemplary and lose respect for those we discover to be clay-footed, and so we may try to respect only those who are truly worthy of our respect. We may also come to believe that, at some level, all people are worthy of respect. We may learn that jobs and relationships become unbearable if we receive no respect in them; in certain social milieus we may learn the price of disrespect if we violate the street law: “Diss me, and you die.” Calls to respect this or that are increasingly part of public life: environmentalists exhort us to respect nature, foes of abortion and capital punishment insist on respect for human life, members of racial and ethnic minorities and those discriminated against because of their gender, sexual orientation, age, religious beliefs, or economic status demand respect both as social and moral equals and for their cultural differences. And it is widely acknowledged that public debates about such demands should take place under terms of mutual respect. We may learn both that our lives together go better when we respect the things that deserve to be respected and that we should respect some things independently of considerations of how our lives would go..."

I love cemeteries, they are often so beautiful, and moving, and yet peaceful...in every new place I visit I try also to visit the local one...with a preference for the smaller ones, like here maybe ?
Nice to have the crosses in the grass, and good angle here, it's a very soft and appropriate tone, and with the branches all over we cannot focus too much and open to the mystery. Sensitive work...

A beautiful and strange scene ! I love as these crosses seem lost in foliage, I like these abandoned cemeteries where the death follows its road, slowly but certainly...
Congratulations Korkut !
I will come again...

merhaba korkut bey
siyah beyaz tarzda nefis bir çalışma olmuş.ışık dağılımı son derece mükemmel.ayrıca haç'ın üstüne yansıyan ışık ve önünde sarkan ağaç dalları harika bir görüntü oluşturmuş elinize sağlık.

Twice or even thrice dead - two crosses and a dead tree?!
Makes a nice abstract image with a lot of room for speculation.

a dramatic image, qualitative very good with interesting note,
well done!
Dimitris.

Selam sevgili Korkut !
Tebrikler
Selam ve sevgiler
MESUT ILGIM

PS. Bu yaz benim Şiledeki evime çağıracağım sizleri. Orman içlerinde 1920 lere kadar kullanılmış eski rum mezarlıkları var. Her taşta, içerde yatanın mesleği resmedilmiş. Fırıncınınkinde su değirmeni, terzinin taşında makas ve iplik makarası vs.vs.

Korkut,
A very sad capture, and I like how you found the right note, you tell a great story, even sad, very good job,
Regards,
JB.

Today you are a little macabre but very philosophical with the image and the note.
Have a nice afternoon

That's when you are really dead, when no-one still alive remembers you. No doubt that's what happened here. There is great significance in the thorny branch. B&W is the perfect medium for this image. Well done

Belle photo NB de ces deux tombes qui semble abandonnées, belle prise avec cette branche a l' avant plan, un peut comme si la nature avait repris ses droit.
Le NB accentue l' age des tombes, comme effet d' ancienneté je parle bien sur.

Korkut bey merhaba,
Nefis bir S&B çalışma. Işığı ve kompozisyonu ile çok güzel. Başlık ta çok anlamlı, kare ile bütünleşmiş. Açıklayıcı notta çok güzel ve düşündürü. Elinize sağlık.

Hi Korkut!
This looks like a scene taken from an old movie, maybe Edgar Wallace.
Good composition with these twigletts in fron if these crosses.B&W works well here and I like the contrast.

Very interesting photo. The dead tree branch hanging down adds to the eerie look of the photo. Also the way the crosses are starting to sink and fall over. The weeds tell us that this graveyard is very old and probably abandoned. The B&W is very fitting and gives this photo a timeless feel.

Meraba Korkut,
Çok yatarıcı ve ürpertici bir kare, tebrikler..

Bold enterprise, Korkut! Expressing those thoughts herein is a great thing! You managed very well both the thoughts and the scene and I appreciate it very much!
This image works perfectly in the figurative sense.

My compliments,

As a cypriot from the south, I understand and respect fully what you say. The picture is - as always- stunning and the note really gave me the shivers. Only YOU can be so critical, that's why you make me feel good I met you here.
