The yellow seams to be the dominant colour in town. The play between the woman and her shadow is excellent as it is also excellent the position of the stairway across the frame. Well done.

Ben burada sadece ciplak bir kiz goruyorum, zaten thumbnailde de kizi gordugum icin atlayip actim. Dun Unlu Ressamlar diye bir kitap aldim. Bir suru para verdim ama eve gelince ne goreyim, bir suru ciplak kadin resmi var! Nasil sinirim bozuldu bu ahlaksizliga anlatamam. Ustune de bu fotografi gorunce aklimi kacirdim. Dupeduz mustehcen, hic bir fotograf degeri olmayan bu fotografa simdi verecegim puan sirf sana acidigim icin olacak. Ayrica sana workshopta kendi cektigim 2 sahaseri yolluyorum. Lutfen onlara dikkatle bak, ders al ve oyle seyler cekmeye gayret et, tamam mi canim?

Great shot Korkut. I also read your note with interest, as Ayia Napia is probably the only part of Cyprus where I haven't been. I find it worrying that they're turning the whole island into a sleazy tourist resort. I believe they now even have development plans for the once pristine Dipkarpaz peninsula - a big shame. Anyway, to get back to your photo, I like the colours and the shadow here. You've caught the moment beautifully. Good work!

Hi Korkut,

I had a choice of two colourful shots and this is the one for me, I don't really know why! I like the diagonal lines formed by the stairs and the handrail. The lady's shadow fills the middle part of the shot and the bright yellow really sets everything off. It's a very fine capture my friend and very well seen.

So, you visited even this terrible Ayia Nappa place! I wonder if there is any mass tourism hell where you have not been yet. I really miss the critical tone about this place in your note! Don’t tell me, that you liked it there!
Furthermore I think that hattori is right: You are an evil paparazzi, lurking around, making photos of half naked ladies and posting them in the net behind there back. Shame on you!!! I think, you should post more flags instead of insulting innocent people. That would be definitely more honourable!
Apart from your toothless note and filthy paparazzism it´s just a great photo. Together with “walking the red carpet“ it’s your best Cyprus shot so far I think. The way you captured and postprocessed your subject is really unique. The ground, on which she stands, looks tilted though: :-)

Lots of nice pictures to choose from in your gallery Korkut.

The Yellow got me here. The yellow and the lady. I'm weak, I know. But it's not about her alone, it's about how she completes the composition perfectly. It's the life she brings, the shadow she casts, it's the water adding dynamism. The yellow, so vibrant and the red mixing so well with the yellow.

The snorkeling equipment is a nice detail in the right corner. Would have it been possible to make it more visible with some magic in photoshop? Would be good.

With all those lines going in every directions, I guess it was hard to find the right angle. I see the floor seems tilted. But I also see that you wanted to have those nice 45 degrees angle with the diagonals. Plus there is this ceiling on the upper left that is square with the frame, which is good. So, it must have been a hard decision to make.

This shot is amazing for color, POV, sharpness, details (as the diagonal stairs) and, last but not least, the subject. As a woman I don't agree with the remarks on "paparazzi" (by the way: I could not understand if these critics were serious since the conversation was held in Turkish... it would be VERY nice to be able to follow it having English as a common language!) since this beautiful lady was in a public place and surely choose to gracefully wear a small bikini and take a shower outside, where she could be seen by everybody. Don't be more "kingist" than the King! (bad translation for an Italian motto... "più realisti del Re", in my interpretation means she does not need any "defender").
