the strong geometry and angles of the stairs and roof lines would have been enough to create a compelling image, but with with the cross visible and post-production you've chosen the good shot becomes a great. such a great story here about how you have to navigate all twists and turns to continue your ascent towards heaven that means different things for different people. also, technically flawless photo. thanks for sharing.

I do believe that converting to sepia gave this shot a real degree of mysticism. And the note is an excellent complement to this wonderful work. Well done.

He he used this title as well, all times favorite song that fits best your image, even considering those stairways are a bit risky, well seen and framed.

Many pictures are called that name, but this one deserves this title more than most! Clever compo and good conversion to sepia, as maybe the sky was too white? Nice contrast level and fine texture rendering

Hi, just before going to sleep I go through the gallery once more and see this. Compliments! Great geometrical capture, b/w sepia is much more impressive, one can focus on the lines and the mood created. I love the contrast between the white and the brownish tones. The cross, the stairs and the title add a great touch and open imagination...

Hi Korkut!
Finally this half-finished and - most likely - ugly church (99% of all modern Greek Orthodox churches glitter with their tasteless architecture) served a useful purpose when it became your photo model. I feel jealous when I see how you distilled art out of this uninspired bunch of concrete. For me it’s one of your best shots lately. The title, of course, is the best possible.

Sevgili Korkut,
Bu kare de bana ünlü "Damdaki Kemancı" Tevye'nin hayal ettiği ev için söylediği şarkıyı anımsattı. Hani çok katlı çok merdivenli ev'i. Orada der ki Tevye, bir merdiven aşağıya, bir merdiven yukarıya, bir merdiven de hiçbir yer'e !!
Ellerine sağlık bu da grafik ögesi çok güzel monokrom bir iş olmuş. Muhteşem renkler ve çok iyi bir kompozisyon.

Baslik disinda pek guzel bir fotograf. Basliga da itirazim daha once en az 5 fotografta kullanildi diye, yoksa aslinda o da uymus. Fotografin ust kismindaki gotik hava cok etkileyici, merdivenler de keza. Ama dam cok fazla yer kapliyor gibi geldi, sen ne dersin?
