[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a photo of to people trying the parashute after a boat in Ayia Napa. The waves where between 1 and 1,5 meters, and the boat was moving fast so I ended up shooting 48 photos, and only this one came out fairly good. All the others were holding on to something, I was photographing. An uncomfortable situation, but worth it...

This image is scanned with a Tamron film scaner and I did some touchups in PS. Some work needs doing, but this is the best I can do with my knolege.

Hei Halgeir,
A good POV and an interesting composition, my friend!
DOF on the parashute works fine, since it is the main object with eye catching colours...
Looks like there are some artifacts in the sky to the right hand side..? Can easily be cloned away, but it will take some work since there are many spots to remove...
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hi
Well composition and lovely point of view. Looks great. Well done and keep it up n up.

My best wishes are always with you.

Good morning my friend!

Ok..The truth is that the spots to the right are a little problem..But..It is a really beautiful comp,a bit difficult due to directly to the sky shot with beautiful colours and interesting details..Not to forget it is scanned so the spots are (at least!) partly excused..I only have to add that if it is not left a bit tilt on purpose(see the frame..)then we can improve it..:-))

Have a wonderful day!

Friendly,
Nikos..

Hi Halgeir,
Just for the effort you made in capturing this image you deserve praise.Lovely point of view and the composition is good.Shame about the smears on the right side....but then again it add to the "watery" feeling.
Regards, David

Lovely picture!

The fact that you use 48 photos to achieve this capture shows you put pride in your photos.
Very nice positioning of the target, the line makes for a nice effect.
Too bad about the lines on the side, I'm using the same scanner and I've seen the similar lines on my pics.

Hello Halgier,
it is a nice colourful photo, with nice chosen POV and smooth sky.
it's a pity these lines on the right side of the picture.
rgds.
Paulo

p.s. try using photoshop's 'healing tool' on these lines you should be able to clear them out of the picture. I posted a workshop were in a fast way I tried to clean up these lines. hope you don't mind. Let me know if you like it.

Hi Halgeir,
Wonderful shot, considering the described hard conditions and plus the scanned issues. I allways have such dificulties in leading with advanced pp. To tell you the truth, the lines at right doesn't bother me at all (I think it more as a natural expressive and artistic result) and the dramatic light gives an atmosphere that pleases me. The composition is very well balanced and the scene is quite pleasant to see. I like the shapes and colours and the silluettes hanging on there, like flying. Very good work, overall and thanks a lot for sharing!
Friendly regards,
Ricardo

Hi Halgeir, It looks that it is a fun activity. You did an excellent job to get this scanned picture in a good quality. Nice contrast and good tight framing. A nice catch.

Very Original Halgeir!

Nice POV! very good

Joana

great shot, full of colour, I like the silhoutted people here, well done

Hi Halgier,
The 48 photos were worth the wonderful light and color you've captured here. I heard a bird photographer comment that he takes hindereds of photos to get one good shot; I think the willingness to take many shots is the hallmark of a f=good photographer.

Hei Halgeir,
Your well-framed compo has captured beautiful light and color. I think action shots shots show a big part of travelling that is under-represented here on TE, I guess we're too busy shooting pictures to play ;-)
Regards, Pat

Oooh i would like to try this!! :D
Good shot Halgeir, i can see little bit of noise in the sky but as for scanned picture it is good. Must be great experience! :)
Vero

Hi Halgeir,
You have good POV in this photo. Colorful parashute against simple sky.
