Photographer’s Note
The fort in Paphos Harbour originally built by the Byzantines then rebuilt by the Lusignans in the 1200s. In 1570 the Venetians found themselves unable to defend it against the Ottomans so they dismantled it. The Ottomans restored and strengthened it once they had occupied Cyprus. The use of a polariod filter has darkened the sky to emphasise the fort and rocks.
