Photographer’s Note

This tree is located at the entrance to the Catacombs of Ayia Solomoni. First the combs where used as a refuge during the Hellenistic period but after it was converted to a church.
But what attracted mostly my eyes were the pieces of clothing tied to the tree. It's a legend that says that if you fasten a piece of one of your clothes to the branch then you'll be cured of chronic ilness.
It's a pity that I didn't try because today I've a good cold :-(
