Photographer’s Note
Cyprus is a good place for exploring and hiking. We did not find any decent and detailed maps of the west of the island, and the ones they hand out for free are wrong more often than not. They distinguish between four classes of roads, but often it seems to have little to do with the quality, the width and the surface of the road. So if one is exploring by car, it is good to have fourwheel drive, and if one is on foot, a GPS comes in very handy. There are plenty of easy-to-walk trails that actually go a very long way into and around the hills - but are not found on any map. That of course is exactly what makes it challenging and makes the hiker feel like an explorer. And when the views are constantly as stupendous as this, what more can you ask for?

Again very lovely mountain landscape, Per, the road twist because of the mountain the few vegetation on the hillside, the great stones on the forground together with the leaves at the tree give a excellent composition.

Choose framing and perspective gives a very good relief to the composition.
This is a very interesting view and photo.

Again the wonderful scenery from Cyprus, Per, with the undulating hills making for a truly delightful viewing. The road, as it meanders through the frame, makes a great supporting device to let the eye wander through the scene. The branches in the foreground are well included, too, even though I wonder if positioning yourself a little lower and having no overlap between the branches and the scenery behind would have been even better (I know, you're tall :o). Well done, great colors and textures.

Hi Per - could a photo we been searching for "The long and winding road" :-) I like the fine perspective with details in front and trail at the hillside - thanks for sharing - yes GPS must be a "must" on places like this.

One more beautiful photo of your Cyprus serie. Good capture of this beautiful lanscape. Colors and nice angle shot. This shot goes to my favorite list. Congratulations!
