Photographer’s Note

i have had enough of the autumn mood around here so for the sake of the hot and bright summer memories i am presenting this one to you all...
mare monte is one of the oldest hotels on the kyrenia (girne in turkish, keryneia in greek) coastline offering a superb beach always packed especially at the weekends...
crystal clear water, golden sand and the sun shinning so bright in the blue sky... that's all i need now :)

i can hardly wait for the next summer...

Işık kullanımınız ve ön plandaki ağaç ile aydınlık arka fon arasında yarattığınız kontrast hem başarılı hem de fonksiyonel. Başarılı çünkü overexposed olmamayı başarmış, aynı zamanda ağacın karanlık yüzünü bir silüet haline getirmeden kahverengiyi ve ağaç dokusunu izleyiciye iletmişsiniz. Fonksiyonel çünkü yaz sıcağında sığınacak gölge bulmuş olma hissi yaratarak sıcaklık ve ferahlık hissini aynı anda verebilmişsiniz. Soldaki palmiye ile sağ üstteki çam yapraklarının net ve iğneli dokusu Akdeniz bilinçaltımızı hareketlendirerek, mavi-yeşil suların ve içinde gamsız gamsız yüzen insanların bilinçüstümüzde yarattığı "artık tatil istiyorum ama ben" duygusunu perçinlemiş (benzer duygu benim de "V for Vacation" resmimde vardı).

Umarım insanlar bunu yalnızca bir "deniz, ağaç ve ağacın dalları" resmi olarak algılamaz ve global bir tatil histerisi oluşur, biz de 5.498.039 yıl boyunca tatil yapabiliriz.

Altı ay kaldı, dayanabiliriz sanıyorum. O süre zarfında resimlere bakıp avunacağız herhalde. Bu resim de iyi bir avuntu kaynağı bence, eline sağlık.

Hi Korkut,
the composition through the tree is interesting. You divide the photo in several parts, but they clear belong together, therefore it is not destructed. Good idea!
The part behind the tree has warm and intensive colors but nothing particular to remark. Otherwise the tree would be distracting I think.

Bir baska yaratici kompozisyon. Bakis acisi da cok ilginc ve cok güzel... Agacin dallarinin böldügü kadrajdan görünenler ise harika bir plaj ve deniz... gercekten cok begendim...

Hi Korkut,
I like the way the branches of th etrees create different small areas of interest for us to look. The summery feeeling comes accross nicely with the warm colours.

i love your perspective here...your abilities far surpass your camera....i think you deserve an upgrade! it would help pull out more clarity and detail from the leaves in this shot
