the lonely stone made church is very nice as a structure.The contrasted colours are impressive but the light that fall on the facade of the church,i think is a little bit over exposure.The sharpness and the clarity is great. Well done Achim.

This is a great stone chapel. Your composition is great showing the chapel from a great angle allowing us to see more than just one side. The lighting and colors are fine as is the sharpness and detail. You have done a nice job with a scanned image!

wenn Du schon nicht mehr so weißt, wo Du alles Aufnahmen gemacht hast, ... bleibt Dir nur übrig, nochmal hinzufahren und nachzuschauen. ;-)
Dann such mal auf Zypern nach einer kleinen Kirche aus schmucken Natursteinen mit interessanter Architektur und einer kleinen hübschen Zentralkuppel, umrundet von schönem Naturpflaster und mindestens 2 Holztüren, die sich im Sonnenlicht so richtig schön in Pose werfen kann.

You chose a good angle from which to photograph this church; the perspective diagonals work well in the composition. Sorry I can't help in your quest to find its specific location.

A good low POV and a good angle in your setting, which manages to catch the beauty of lines of this splendid and simple architecture, with a good control of the light, a good exposure and a few soft colors.

hello achim... this is the "profitis ilias church" on top of a little hill in "protaras"... protaras is the touristic resort of paralimni, close to ayia napa... theorically it is in famagusta... i think it is a lovely church in a good setting and there is a tree next to it where people tie a piece of cloth and make a wish... i bet you have a picture of it too:)...

Hi Achim!
I see Cyprus must be like Crete, where there are churches, of this kind of style, everywhere. Your photo is beautiful, the colour of the pink stone against the blue sky, very pleasant, as well as the little tree on the right and the view over the sea!
The church on top of a plateau seems to be watching over the more modern town down below!
