Photographer’s Note

Without wanting to post an ad, as much for the maritime company that for CORSICA itself, here today still an image which wants to be to remain in the series of the sailing ships 3 masts. My two last pics had presented to you the PONANT and SEA CLOUD, two cruising ships.
This splendid British yacht wet at sea, too far so that I can read its name. There remained course with the wind, without never putting itself through.
Photo catch at the end of the summer since the beach of La Pinède in CALVI, the time when the NGV (Ship at High Speed) left the port to join NICE. Duration of the crossing: 2. 55. You can read, I know it. ;o)

In Workshop the captured image a few seconds afterwards.

Hello Pierre. Very nice scene with the massive yatch taking a prominent spot on the frame. The two boats contrast in style and they look as if they are about to crash against each other. Well composed picture. Thanks Pierre.

Hello Pierre,

Excellent shot, and with the ws you have an effective pair of images representing modern travel on the high seas. Your note also is highly informative. Since I frequently give lectures on cruise ships, I know these waters quite well, and can appreciate the variety of vessels on the water — from the yachts to speed boats, and from the cruise liners to the freighters and tankers. It is always a pleasure to see such photos in TE. Best regards,

C'est assez impressionnant, notamment la vague laissée derrière le bateau dans le WS!!
Ca a du secouer un peu sur le trois mats.
Une belle réalisation et avec l'écrasement du au zoom, on pourrait penser qu'il va l'éperonner.

Quel contraste entre les deux bateaux - ausi concernant les couleurs! Cette photo me fait penser au chanson de Desireless "Voyages, voyages ..."

Très sympa et très réussie, cette opposition de style (je ne comprends pas que plus de monde ne se soit pas arrêté). Mêmes les couleurs s'opposent avec l'ocre chaud et le bleu froid. Très bien vu.
