Photographer’s Note

To make unload the troops of the thousands of barges were necessary.
One started to build some in Great Britain and in the USA. The heavy conveyors of tanks were also built there.
They crossed Atlantic by their own means as well as barges of fewer tonnages.
Certain crossings are extremely difficult because of the bad weather and often the ships sank. Many convoys one were intercepted and meadows of seven million tons were run in Atlantic during the 2nd World war.

From January to Mars 1943, the shipyards built 21 525 landing barges whose majority "were absorbed" in the war of the Pacific.
At the allies, the shipyards aggrandising and alters is created. One installed in the small streets of the ports, of the building sites of small barges and in the roads of the "hardware", kind of let us bridge having for goal to grander surface acreage. Many kinds of barges were built in order to unload various vehicles, to ensure cover adequate artillery or to answer has particular needs. The date of manufacture of this barge is 1943 it is used has current clock to make the way of the vehicles between Bonifaccio and Island of Cavallo.
