..and welcome to my forest, is what this little anemone seemed to sing out together with millions of others, now that the sun has been out for some days, and the weather is warming up.
It is one of the great wonders of nature to walk in a forest in spring and watch the brown floor of last year's fallen leaves transforming itself into a green and white carpet of anemones. And what can't be shown here is the loud accompanying chorus of blackbirds greeting each other and the spring.
Later there are plenty of other colours in the forest, but this is long before the first leaves come out and other flowers bloom.
Such is early spring in central Europe.
