Photographer’s Note
The interesting thing about this mill is that it is both a wind- and a watermill. I have been told that there are only 2 of this type of mills remaining in Belgium. You can see the waterwheel at the bottom left of the body.
This mill was constructed early 19th century and is a protected monument. It could use some restoration however. I very much like the environment in which it stands; completely in the midst of the fields.
This picture also looks very nice in sephia, but I personally liked the green and blue more.
The picture has been sharpened a bit + I erased some branches of a tree that stood in the way.

Seeing yours and Jaap's photos of all these old Dutch windmills always make me remember this song:
"In days gone by when the world was much younger
Men harnessed the wind to work for mankind
Windmills grew up all along the wild coastline
Ships of the land with their high canvassed sails.."
I like this photo, only you might consider cropping a little on the right to move the mill out of dead center in the photo.

I like much this mill lost in the fields. You made well retain the color, that emphasizes more the composition, sepia would have made perhaps older, but less true. I like the color of the stone. Many details in this composition. Well done Hendrik.

Hendrik ik meen dat dit een van uw beste foto's is. Zeer mooie oude molen alleen weet ik niet waar hij staat. Prachtig omgeving, mooi detail, het zwart wit paard beneden.

I dident know Bente as a poet ;-)
Great capture you done this fine old mill and the landscape. I must agree with Bente - the mill shoulden't be at the centre - but I like the horse so may be I would cut of left side.
But good work anyhow Hendrik.

I like this photo, but I would like it better with the mill more to the right of center. Good color,
