[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Portuguese coast is very inspiring because, despite the large number of tourists, it still has plenty of astonishing secret spots, although most of them are fairly inaccessible.

I took several trips to the same place to get the perfect light conditions and a favourable low tide. I prefer to shoot in the ‘magical hour’ which enables me to get rich colours and use long shutter speeds to blur the water and/or the sky.

Apart from basic and unavoidable editing in Photoshop (slight contrast, saturation and unsharp mask), the shot is unmanipulated as much of the work is done on location using a ND grad filter to balance the light and a polariser to enhance colour and contrast.

I hope you enjoy!

PS: I appologise for the 500px larger side and watermark in the frame, but some unauthorized use has happened before in other websites (including mine)

If it is not really not manipulated in PS it is nice picture and nice place..

Very nice shot. I like the colors and the scenery. One thing that takes away from the photo is your web address. It ruins the frame and off sets the picture. You could stylise it and minimise it abit.
Great shot.

Lovely colors, and light. I really like the composition. Nice work.

Hi Joel. Not only the coast is inspiring; your pictures are inspiring too. Great work; nothing to comment. Only that it is a pity that you don't post them in a larger format but I understand why.

Very good picture, the sky and the light on the first plan are very beautiful.

Regards.

Alex

Hi Joel.

A quality phot, as usual from you.
I like the way foreground leads us to the background.
I like the overall coloring.

Aleks

beautiful shot of mother nature. maybe a black frame would suit the picture better (without words), making viewers gravitate the the photo itself...
