Photographer’s Note
the only cool spot you can find in Madrid when it's really, really hot! This was taken from a passage underneath a waterfall, close to Plaza de la Indenpencia.

Very nice effect, Femke ! At the first sight I thought you had jumped under a fountain...
You could have made several pics from this one. The graphic effect of the water, with only the sky as a background, could have provided a pic in the Ebbe style (Guess what it is ?... ;-)
With a tripod, I could not have resisted to a lower speed, just to see...
Well seen !

Good idea. Nice try. Falling water seems like the curtain. Very attractive pic with good effect of translucence. I like it.

Great shot! Just the right shutter speed! The colors look very natural and the composition is very good..love the girl passing by (withput it think it could be a «naked» picture :))

J'adore cet effet sans retouche et donner cette finalité et surprenant avec un peut d'eau.
L'image obtient un style granulé c'est bien vue Bravo

Very interesting shot,I do not see the what the settings were but I'd make the DOF to be max as possible, what botheres me is that there is no clear focus on none of the objects.

It is unreal scenery! The water stopped at high-speed shutter speed seems to be the object of glass completely. The central woman is improving this photograph more. I consider the whole screen as it is better to make it a little sharper.

This is excellent, Femke. I remember this place very well. I believe there is an entrance to a theater in that passage, do I remember right?
The windows of that building are very interesting to see through this nice water curtain.

This is great, Femke. An excellent effect with the almost frozen-looking water. Great to have the woman in the shot, and more so to have her exactly in a spot not obscured by the water. A very good capture.

Good point of view. And the woman...she added a human element to this shot. Very refreshing view indeed.

Hey Femke! Great pic. I love the 'roughness' of the picture. The girl in the background finishes it off beautifully. Your best picture till now, IMHO!

Then small thumbnail really does not give this photo justice. I wasn't certain to open it, but I am so glad that I did. It's realy wonderful. The person in this shot gives so much to your photo. Really well seen.

This is a very cool effect. I found this picture through your post of "not just in Amsterdam". At first glance I thought it was a louzy picture, but I decided to look at your other pictures first. And then I found this effect. excellent shot! And looking at all your other pictures, you are a good photographer. enjoy and thanks for sharing.
