Photographer’s Note
Getting my things done on saturday, shopping in the beautiful light of autumn, during lunchtime in the city center of Rotterdam. As the center is bombed by the Nazi's in 1940, all buildings are fairly new, and a bit without a heart to my taste.
There's not much more than shopping people in the center, but sometimes you stumble on a funny scene, like these two people taking a rest in the shop window.
I have taken a couple of pictures of them, I liked this one best as the man is looking at them.

hi rinie, i also like this one - it has this nice feeling about rush and shopping, something that is a must mixture during the season of "sale" on the stores' windows (but does it ever end?)
nicely seen;
best wishes, jerzy

Hi Rinie, I like it too! I have NOTHING against complexity (hey, lok at some of my reflective pics!), and here everything is so well in hand, so crisp, it's just a delight to run ne's eyes across it. There is movement here 8from the street side) and there is wistfulness (inside). Where are you, Rinie.../
Well done,
Francis

Very funny Rinnie, I thought you come up with some strange Dutch expresion for the title here, until I looked at the full image. Nicely framed candid work.

Hi Rinie, wonderful shot! If you don't mention they are real, I wouldn't even have guessed...:-)
A beautiful shot, in every way, composition and colour, and clarity, all is so clear that it boggles my mind and senses, so super"sharp" without pretensions. An excellent shot beautifully seen, Rinie, good that you could take the good part of the heartless buildings and, la voila, you have come up with a unique shot as opposed to a pretty card!

That is a very good one with a great situation; the picture is well done and there is a great interest in these resting people.
I remark the difference of scale in between the advertisment and the people and also a certain similarity between the "actors" and the Poster..
Good quality and colors;
I like it

Goodmorning Rinie, quite nice this couple pretending to be fashion dolls ;-). I like the interaction between thenm and the shopper. It's a lively and layered city scene with lts of engaging and well rendered detail. Love it.
Have a nice weekend,

Wow, so much stuff going on here. Its interesting what you state in your note. These two old people saw a different sight when they were the age of the two young people behind the glass. There seems to be a wall, or a window that seperates the generations in how they see the world and history of their lives.
The composition is very busy:) LOts of stuff going on but nothing really detrimental to the photo so thats fine.

There's this great line through the advertising pictures through to the dummy and the seated couple and the guy looking at them - great titel - I also love the way the advert imitates real life in terms of the angles which both women are looking at.
very nice Rinie!!
best wishes Kev

I didnt understand the title from the thumbnail. its a great moment you caught here, Rinie, the guy doing a double-take he cant belive his eyes. You can see his expression even if we only see the back of his head. I like the way the fact that the real woman has the smae expression on her face as the woman in the giant poster behind. Reflections are a trend here at the moment.
Nice autumn light.

Very nice daily life scene, Rinie, combining the shopwindow and the street !
Great light and composition.
Have a nice week-end !

ps ; the two people taking a rest seem to be in the shopwindow and we can nearly wonder if they are real ... well seen !

This days I´m like feeling a lack of inspiration in my photos, but this one give me inspiration because it´s full of true. It´s great to portrait our society, our world. The sitting couple looks like maniquis. Very well seen dear... How are you? It´s getting cold here.
PS: Let me tell you about two movies "The constant gardener" and "Match point"... Try to see both. Take care.

The title made me open the thumbnail, on this page, "eason \LE MOOЯV!!" appears slightly different - :o))) - So I was wondering what you meant.
Bonjour Rinie, sorry to have "verwaardelosed" you the last few weeks, I did look at your new postings of course but I couldn't find the time to think about a proper critique. I don't know where the time has gone...
Great picture, just a frozen sunny moment in the city, Rotterdam on its best. I wish I could walk these streets too one day, last time we were in R'dam was last week in Erasmus z'huis of course - [Before you worry, everything is going well with Chris, just a check-up, we are lucky].
A un de ces jours sur TE mon amie! - Amitiés - Viviane

Hi Rinnie.
It's funny. They look models. And at the same seems so strange scene.
You has done a great capture. The scene is good and also you had good light.

You've got a couple of nice "mannequins" sitting in the window there. It's a really good street scene as the passerby look in at them and they smile back. You also included an excellent diagonal across the screen to connect everything. Because the two inside are not the only ones watching people. But there are a couple of people even farther back and left who seem to be discussing and watching everyone else. Very sharp and clean and with a fine composition to capture this shopping street scene.
