Photographer’s Note
Ballydowane Bay, Co. Waterford, Ireland
Snatching a very brief weekend in Ireland, based in Dungarvan (following a business trip to Dublin) I had just one day to explore the beautiful South West coast of Ireland. It rained of course! So I tried my best to capture the wild natural landscape - which was rather difficult in the conditions - you can see the rain on my lens here - but perhaps this enhances the atmosphere of this windswept bay - which is continually lashed by atlantic storms. I look forward to a better exploration of this beautiful area of Ireland soon.
PP: selective levels, saturation, USM - no crop.

Bleak but beautiful scenery - I like it as it is - rain is not exactly uncommon there is it :)

Just a suggestion about keeping the rain off of lenses: it's rudimentary, but I just use a folded up piece of paper or a strip of cardstock. I tape it onto the body of the camera or else hold it above the lens to protect it without getting the paper in the shot. Simple, but it works! No special equipment required :)
Other than that, the shot is well composed, and at least the overcast sky is not burnt out (you did the best you could with what you had). It would be better without the raindrops, I feel. Maybe you can remove them in pp somehow? I don't know.
