Photographer’s Note
The classic view of that mountain, I don't remember the name, Mt.Taj Mahal I believe. Taken with the full 210mm extension of the zoom lens from somewhere in Zermatt in the early morning. It was about the 3rd week of October, so the yellow and orange shades are autumn vegetation. I marked tripod used, but it was not with me so I placed the lens on a hard surface (I think it was from the bridge over the Zermatt river). This was taken on the same day as this photo from Chamonix, which was at the end of the day.

Mmmmm... Toblerone. Looks familiar. Ah, doesn't Matter. Gorgeous shot, I love the orange tones across the lower ranges and foreground and how the near hills lead your eyes down into valley to the base. Nice work.

Hi Tan
I have spent many happy hours skiing in the shadow of this mountain and I never tire of looking at it. I like your composition here with the diagonal lines of the slopes mirroring those of the Matterhorn itself. The autumn colours add a new feature for me, and the polarised sky helps to emphasise the sunlit facet of the mountain.

As you say, a classic view, but probably more dramatic than any I've seen, The colours are stunning, and again, a perfect scan.

Hi Tan,
you got a very good light here, I like the contrast between the illuminated white wall of the mountain and the blue and clean sky. The autumn color of the brown trees mixed with the green pine trees also contribute to create this beautiful colourful landscape. To me, the dark corner does not bother me.
Best regards and enjoy the WE!
(The name: Matterhorn, it raises 4478 meters high).
Best regards and enjoy the WE!

Great picture, it looks like a post card! Everything's right in the shot, the high peak above the rest of the lanscape, the sun from the side and the warm-coloured trees on the hill! Very well done!

This is really beautiful because the details of this majestic peak has been captured well and the colours are really nice in the foreground and placed in the composition well as to flatten and bring together the snowy peak and autumn colours.

A classic shot very well executed. The white, starkness of the mountain contrasts well with the rich Autumnal colours of the trees. Well composed too with the mountain off-centre to the left and the land rising to the edge of the frame on the right.

I see on the world map at your intro that you don not have many places left to go. Matterhorn is really a must as soon as you mention Switzerland and you got here the perfect picture for any Toblerone, Swatch, Swiss Ailines advertisment. Bravo!
Now, if you really love mountains, and really beautiful ones likes the swiss Taj Mahal I strongly recommend to go for Ama Dablam and Mt. Kailash.

Hello Tan,
I have seen many picture of the Matterhorn (like evrybody on TE), but this one is special. Not the point of view (Like choclate...) but I think what I like the most is the great foreground with a lot of automn colors and the contrast between the fresh snow and the red grass.
A great Matterhorn picture, for me one of the best I seen on TE.
Congratulations.
