Photographer’s Note

A strange as it may be, I like to walk either looking up high, oblivious of the clouds but eager to spot caryatids flanking windows and doors, which no one seems to notice anymore, or closer to the ground, watching people's shoes.
While I was quite fascinated by what she was wearing and we started to discuss whether she had to put on Japanese socks too or not (she told me she managed well with "normal" socks, which I still find quite surprising but, well, I'm definitely not in her shoes...), he kept talking about his sneakers, which had been through a lot, or so he said. And why should I question that?
Besides, the train was coming to an halt at the station I get off to go back home.
So they went on with their journey, up to another station, somewhere further down the line. Hand in hand...
