Photographer’s Note
The Urnania cinema, probably one of the grandest cinemas in the world, on Rakoczi Ut in Budapest, remained a cinema throughout all the changes that took place in the country since it having been built. In 1997 it looked somewhat in need of refurbishment, but was still operating, and showing mainstream films. Now it's worth a visit in its own right.

wow, thats a gap between today and the past (i used the link); exciting how the object used to look like only a couple years ago; i like the way you presented the place - the dark colours are perfect for this;
have a nice day, jerzy

Hi Richard, powerfully atmospheric shot of a unique facade. "Nicolas cage" starring in that wild action flic "Con Air" did not escape my notice either at the bottom. Great B/W tonal treatment and framing. One of your more emotionally compelling shots. Cheers, Francis

Hi Richard
Excellent use of graphism & repetition, as a compositional element. The sepia conversion works well here. Good sharpness & the 'Nicholas Cage' text is a giveaway for the function of this building. Well done!

Excellent composition. I love the simmetry of the windows. The black and white gives the image a special flair.. Very well done!

Hi Richard, I like the repetition, the tones and the title of he movie - it's a touching shot (but very amazing when you see the Urnania cinema now).
Thanks
