This is a second photo from the surfcasting seminar.
This is a “pendulum” type of cast.
On the picture is the instructor named Neil Mackellow, who was a world champion (1995) on the particular sport.
You can see the lead on the right edge of the picture and the tension the rod has as it loads. This is an advanced type of cast used mostly in rocky shores, where the lead should not be on the ground at all!
The casting distance that can be achieved is over than 230 meters (754 feet).

I like the low perspective in the shot. It helps add to the drama of his pose as he casts the line. Very nice!
