Well for sure pidgeons are no respecter of persons!
I prefer the colour version; as the background captures everyone enjoying a hot summer's day, the blues and greens of the picture really helps you to imagine being there, I prefer B&W to have more contrast. Maybe on a different day with less people and some detail in the sky B&W would have worked better.

Clement, pigeons must know we like this kind of shots, i took exactly the same last year, same place really. But yours is much better than mine, you included other elements very nicely, the basking crowd and the old Pantheon behind, all which, with the pigeons, make a typical shot of Paris in the spring.

This one would be perfect in a Paris or even France guidebook.

je préfère également la version couleur, le contraste entre la statue et l'arrière plan est curieusement plus saisissant ici qu'en N&B. C'est une bonne chose de ne pas avoir hésité à rogner la statue.

Bonjour Clement,
Jáime plus la photo en coleur. Je pense que le contrast entre els coleurs est interesante.
Jáime bien le cadrage et la position de cette statue par rapport avec le reste du paysage.

its a good shot Clement and quite humourous! made me smile at least, its well composed and well seen.

i dont know if this shot could be bettered if there were more visible pigeon poo on the statue, then they would have been more disrespectful! :)

Le fleau du siecle, nos amis les pigeons ;o)...une tres bonne composition avec cette statue qui surveille ce jardin remplie de monde. Les couleurs sont belles, mais l'image mùanque un poil de netetté...mais rien de dérangeant.

Je préfère celle-ci. Ce qui est intéressant je trouve sur la version N&B, c'est la statue et les batiments. MAis malheureusement, les arbres ne ressortent pas tres bien et les gens y donnent une impression de fouillis que je n'aime pas trop. Sans les gens et avec une lumière plus douce, peut etre que ca marcherait mieux !

Mais j'aime bien la version Couleur pour la sensation d'été et de chaleur qu'elle dégage. Dans ce sens, on peut pas trop leur en vouloir a ces pigeons qui cherchaient une petite place en hauteur pour avoir du vent frais :o)

Really funny shot. Great timing and very nice composition, with this crowdy lake on the background. In this case, certainly the colour version worked much better. Nicely done.

Bravo pour l'originalité, je me suis souvent baladé dans ce parc, et je n'ai pas vu cette scene, alors chapeau, la photo en verion TE manque un peu de netteté, mais rien de grave.

Salut Clement. Haha, a well-seen and cleverly composed photo of the statue which seems to overlook the pond and enjoy the view towards the Panthéon. Beautiful colors, a vivid add from all the people without making it look too crowded, and good deep DOF all the way to the background. I like the color version better; I think the b&w version could use an additional touch of contrast.

i like both pictures actually, b/w one gives me a feeling of HCB somehow (even if its not a matter of decisive moment here.. lol)

Hi Clement.

Let put the pidgeons on a side.
I see a lot of relaxed people just sitting on the chairs, relaxing and feeling the last days of summer.
I think it's a good composition also because of the beautiful dome in the backgrd (possibly with a lot more pidgeons) and the water lying horisontally through the frame. It's great when you find so much details in one frame. Something special is this image!
