Ryckevelde I Photo

Photographer’s Note

A picture taken two weeks ago, a very beautiful day with much sun. Excellent for cycle, also for this photo from it castle of Ryckevelde on 8 km of Bruges.
The castle of Ryckevelde is a free young castle and is himself in an excellent state.
The style in which the castle is built (neogotisch), betrays the age already.
It for Baron Raphael Gilles the Pélichy were built between 1913 and 1929.
The family continued live there but up to 1946. To the backside also a due garden and a large pond.

The beautiful picture of the beautiful place. A tree on the left adds a depth to the composition. Great colours and pattern of bricks. Well done!

Mooi John, mijn huis hier is van diezelfde tijd nog met handvorm baksteen gebouwd, kenmerkend voor deze tijd deze neo trapgevels, renaissance raamindeling en rondbogen in the relief structuur van de gevel met die afgeschuinde baksteen, een synthese van verschillende stijlen, ecclectisme genaamd, tkekenend voor deze tijd.

You can publish an album with your photos. They are alays so well structured, and well shot. It looks like you take a lot of time and put in a lot of thinking into the shooting process.

Mooi in beeld gebracht, John. Groen en blauw hier goed aanwezig. Is dit niet het domein van een kloosterorde momenteel ? Of verwar ik met iets anders ?

Hi John, A very colorful picture of the young castle. A very nice contrast of the cheerul bright colors in this picture. A well composed picture with an excellent clarity and sharpness. The sunlight angle was in a perfect position when you were taking the picture. A very nice picture.

I will make more critiques as soon as possible in your previous posts. Very beautiful castle in a nice landscape. Excelent enquadrement, colors and composition. The brick patterns are very well captured.

The technical quality and the striking colors are always present in your photos, John. This is again a nice one. Perhaps the main subject is a bit centered, but the photo is well balanced with the way in which you used the natural elements for framing.

Ik zie dat Ryckevelde ondertussen al naar Sijsele is verhuisd ;-). Je hebt het kasteel hier heel mooi in beeld gebracht. Je had ook geluk met het weer zie ik. Het is werkelijk een prachtig plaatje, goede compositie en mooie kleuren.

Très beau château avec une tour imposante et un bleu petant ici, John! La couleur verte de la verdure printanière est aussi très agréble à voir. Bravo! J'en apprend aussi en regardant tes photos car par exemple, ce château, je ne l'ai jamais vu!

J'ai toujours admiré ces magnifiques constructions en briques rouges, caractéristiques des pays du nord.
Cette architecture est superbe de même que ses couleurs dans cet environnement de verdure!

L'architecture est magnifique et les couleurs de la pierre sont très bien rendues dans cette photo. Tout est parfait, du cadrage à la profondeur en passant par la couleur.
L'endroit est beau et interessant.

Another beautiful shot, John, with lovely strong colours - especially that of the sky. I also like how the 'green' on the right 'spreads' over the front of the castle. Interesting note. Well frame.
