Photographer’s Note
This is Roskilde Cathedral, taken from the backside, the only Danish church that is added to UNESCO's list of the world's most precious cultural assets.
First, there was a wooden church on this place from 985, but in 1280 a church of brick was build, it was one of the first Danish churches build of brick and about 3 million bricks were used. In the years after 1280 it got some more chapels etc.
The church is also used by the royal family. The members of the royal family are buried here.
On the forground you see soms buildings of the Roskilde Palace, which also can be seen here.
About the photo: only sharpened and decreased the light a bit - but somehow it's too sharp now:(

Hi Stef, The colors are lovely, like in a story book. The contrast is excellent. Nice to see the layers of the buildings with different colors. Well done.

Wow Stef, astonishing colour contrast here and much graphic content - I love it.

Hey Steft, this is one bright and sharp photograph! Very definitive. I can observe the details of the building.

Wow, what a colorful place! That yellow is extremely pungent. The sharpness is quite to my liking. Seems like this place has a unique history and you captured that well. The chosen angle here is great as it lets the sun do its thing and show us all of those textual details. Well done!

Very fine and colourful angle you got that Cathedral of Roskilde - Thanks for sharing - I only been here on grey days - Must pay a visit on a day like this - thanks Stef for the note to explain.

Hello Stef!
Nice colors and nice point of view, really sharp, a good job! May be a little to much compression? Your lines at the roof of the tower?
Bravo!

What superb colours, Stef, and another photo that must go into my theme group on Danish churches. It looks just a little bit oversharpened though. But the colours are great.

Bonsoir Stef,

Very good choice to use the yellow house as a foreground to the grand church Stef. Good balance, crisp and clear - maybe a little oversharpened, but not distrubing the fine total impression.

Great colors! I agree it's a little bit "oversharpened"... hehehe But it's a great picture anyway and this doens't affect its result. Good job! Regards!
