Photographer’s Note
Classic British bank architecture, sarees, wrapping up warm against the English winter. Just everyday elements that make up life in Leicester, where about half the population have roots in the Indian sub-continent (I should add, many via Uganda).
A break from my Catalan series, to get first hunt entry for the session.
Tried this one in RAW. Not really sure what I'm doing there, but it seemed to work out OK. I think I should have more control somewhere, which I'll be learning on my PS course soon.

Nice colored daily life scene, Richard.
Maybe I would have preferred the woman placed in the middle, in front of the white wall, to better see her. But maybe she would have been too much centered. So....there was no solution ;o)

nice one, nicely composed, i like the sign in the corner and the guy inside, I'd prefer to see the woman with the right foot in front, you know - walking legs like A. nice one. street photography? good.

Great subject with the lady walking in front of the Indian store, and a very precise framing with the shop sign and the arched window determining the width of your photo. Colorful and rich in detail, very nice one Richard.

Ths is more than just OK, Richard, this is beautiful. The colors, the inclusion of humans, the arch, the Bombay Looks sign, and even the pigeon - all create a very good composition and a fine ebtry for the hunt. Very good job.

Perfect timing; a “walking lay figure” just in the right place in front of the window full of sarees.
Excellent composition/framing. I love how there are so many details to look at in this image; the man with his phone, all the objects inside the store, walking pigeon, posters, reflections...
Excellent street shot, Richard – a classic combination of right time and right place...

Good entry for S.hunt,Richard, well seen and noticed and the woman with her semi traditional dress has a good harmony in point of motif to the bombay shop,,,,nicely composed.
I like it.

Lots of stories here - has the man in the shop seen you and is phoning someone about you?,or is he waiting for the women, why is the woman hurrying so? - is she late? - and is the pigeon aware of the fact he/she might be stood on? - lots of details, lots of interest :)
BTW - the RAW conversion looks to have worked out well.

A fine quality - (RAW ok ;-) and a great motif for the hunt as well - I like the sight of this shopfront - England do have many sights with cultures in contrast - nice to watch - thanks Richard.

Richard, just catchign up with soem of your more recent posts. You either have been doign soem serious studying or your new 20D is a reall asset.
This is really nice. Just caught her as she is distracted by the sarees, and the depth and colours of the shot make this an ecxellent compostion.
(Dont know how I missed so many:( )

A very goo urban, daily life shot. Good colors and a well composed shot. It almost looks like the lady is "walking" her bird...
Nicely framed and good proportions also.

Hello Richard, This picture has attracted my attention because I tried to shoot similar
ones recently, during my visit to London in October. I like all details very much, the guy with the cellphone, the lady, ad the display. Well done... Izzet
