on the edges of the Yvette!
Last reflection of the activity of the tanneries of goatskins. Twenty-two passages follow one another evoking the mills and the tanneries established formerly on left bank of the Yvette. The last tannery closed its doors in the Sixties. Many "small bridges" and laundrettes contribute today to the charm of this walk

wonderful! i looked at your gallery, you really have an eye for and are able to manage light and colour. not sure what else was in the frame but i think a wider angle shot that would include the reflection in the water would have worked better here. anyways great shot, congrats!

Another one thats i like it Thierry .This is a simple but beautiful picture because the lighteffects are very special here .The shadow effects inside are beautiful ,good timing .Nice composition and an excellent contrast .Good work

Bonjour Thierry,
J'adore la lumière portée dans cette composition. Les rais de lumière venant lécher l'intérieur du lavoir et les boqueteaux se mirant dans la petite rivière, sont du plus bel effet.
J'aime la mousse qui recouvre une partie du toit, et les tuiles poudrées d'une gelée blanche. Et cette cheminée (très rare à l'intérieur des lavoirs, à moins qu'il ne s'agisse pas d'un lavoir) qui dynamise encore cette très belle composition.

Le givre sur le toit du lavoir et cette belle luminosité sont les atouts majeurs de cette image très bien agencée.
J'ajoute en plus une parfaite netteté.
