Photographer’s Note
Per mention with his last Danish shot, that you can find seagulls almost anywhere in Denmark, due the dimensions of our little land. This shot taken at the southern of Fyn not more then 3 km from the sea – and I guess all gulls in the neighbourhood was on the wings that day – In fact this was one of three flocks I spotted that day – and they must have been longing for a tasty earthworm, since it was the first time this year the farmer was “digging” in the ground :-)
Funny be course, I actually took another shot today of a working farmer – but without a single gull – Please watch since this was the first idea for a post today – until I changed my mind.

I like both photos, Jeppe. The other one is beautiful, but this one is more special. If it was in b/w it could be a great cover photo for for film "The Birds", by Alfred Hitchcock. I guesss that this land is rih with fresh and tasty worms for lunch. Very well seen and captured.

Great capture Jeppe, in addition to the hundred gull, the background is very nice with good depth, prfectly composed, well done.
Your workshop is also very nice and could have been easily posted, thanks for you time and contributions.

Beautifully frozen movement of the Gulls. They can be found all over the UK too, even far from the sea, because they've realised that scavenging is much easier than fishing! So you get them in town centres, rubbish dumps, farmland etc.

Is more tremendous!:) Unfortunately, at us such quantity the seagulls can be met only on a city garbage dump. And it as you understand, not always it would be desirable to photograph:) very good details.

An excellent shot, Jeppe. I think it's incredible that you captured all the seagulls so clearly - personally I can't see a blurred one anywhere. I also like the large red warning light of the tractor - especially as the tractor is almost hidden by the gulls. Very well done.

Worth changing your mind, the gulls make for a very dynamic shot. Good sharp shot, interesting compo.

No lack of details in here. Typical behaviour of the gulls I think. Why they all is looking left is another interesting details. Of course for the compo the tractor in the back is essential to have the meaning of this 'rush hour'

both the pictures are nice in their own ways. i can chose no favorite between the two..
i like the activity in this picture-with dust flying along with the gulls... and the tractor making its way.

Great capture of moving and well documented comments . . sea gul are invading birds now
( due presence of huge outdoor garbaddge landfills close to some cities)
it's rare but we can see some in Alps ( around great lakes )

The calm farming shot in your WS is not bad either, but I like the strong element of action in your main posting here, Jeppe. Interesting how the cloud of dust and the array of gulls almost completely conceals the tractor. Nice earthy color tones in the background, good shot.

A nice crowd milling around. Frenetic disorder at such a large feast.
Gulls can fly far inside the land in their hunt for food. I know a place 150Km away from see (a dump) where the gulls learned the garbage collectors schedule and come only those days collectors come to dump their load.
You captured very well the frenesy of the group.

Wow, great here Jeppe! I like very much how you catched this mess of seagulls and the tractor...
On the other shot, it is indeed less original but I like the horses ;) Anyway... 2 good shots!

Same the picture here in Flanders Jeppe, the farmer surround for by seagulls, I think it's incredible that you captured all the seagulls so clearly, it is very difficult for movable birds at photographers for excellent image. But perfect lovely Jeppe.
Thanks for sharing.

I wonder what trick the other farmer know that this one doesn't. The other one is a beautiful one and this one has an orderly chaos. I can understand why you hesitated between them. One thing that I like with this one is that the red triangel on the tractor isn't covered by any gulls. Well done again Jeppe

That has been really sensational to watch these attack of the gulls on the field, that you can read out of this photo. Indeed the WS is excellent of composition but right you are here the picture is full of live. Very well done Jeppe.

I also like both photos. They tell two different stories and show two different sides of the farmland. This one has great action and you can almost hear the gulls cry. The other one is quieter, and one appreciates the landscape more. I have somewhere an old shot of a tractor being followed by gulls. I will look for it.
