Photographer’s Note
Hi, here is a photo taken last month to start my gallery on Trekearth. I had some difficulty in keeping the foreground exposed due to the intense sunset but I feel the silhouette of the couple walking works ok against the fiery sky.
I am grateful for any critique good or bad as I am just starting to learn the art of landscape photography and sometimes it's good to know when things don't work.

Hi Steve,
Welcome to TE.
I'm surprised that at f/14 the two people in the foreground aren't sharp, considering you had your camera on a tripod. I think the problem is the slow shutter speed, 1/30th. Were they walking towards you??? Would have been better to open up the f stop to increase shutter speed.
Beautiful looking sky, nice balance in your composition as well.
Nice work.

Peter

Hi Steve,
Welcome to TE. Lovely emotional capture with splendid colors. The only thing I can comment is a bit noise there. As told by Peter it is unusual that you get this noise at f/14. So my suggestion is you can take help of post processing to reduce the noise. Waiting for some more nice posting from you. Greeting from India.
Regards,
Deepak

Hi Steve,
a very fine and colorful picture, nice sunset gives a fine mood to this image..
Perhaps i would have tried to capture those persons not so central, eventually more to the left or right side of your image, if possible..
At alst also welcome on TE and keep on posting..
kind regards Bernd
