Photographer’s Note
We went for a walk on the west coast of Lewis not far from Carloway. The clouds were coming in from the west bringing rain. But the sheep just stood and posed for us. The rock was slivery like this all day and on other days. This picture was taken in later afternoon. I read somewhere recently that the number of sheep in Scotland and UK in general is down significantly. This partly because of economic times and partly due to the outbreaks of hoof and mouth disease.
