Photographer’s Note
There can be no better feeling than knowing you are bringing new life in to this world. For Mother Duck, standing here on the river bank of the old Father Thames, while the fire of the setting sun shone in the distance, what might she have been thinking about?
Maybe the answer is something only a woman will ever really now.. but seeing this lady standing there, with her boyfriend/partner close by, looking so much in love, I could only marvel about the thoughts that must have been gently flowing through her mind.

I really like this image. A dreamy mood, contemplative (as triggered by your comments). The contre-jour effect accentuates the atmosphere. Well done.

Different and really good...
I found myself in the position of thinking: If it doesn't resemble anything that is constantly uploaded on TE - it must be good !!!
As much silly and naive this thought is - there is a grain of truth at the very bottom of this quote.
Your photo belongs to that category...
After all - how many times have we seen a pregnant woman with the lake as a backdrop for her pregnancy....
We can discuss some technicalities here and there... Some composition merits (minor), but... What for?
Placed against gazillions of the same repetitive pattern photos on the site - it's a sip of a fresh air...
Stay unique as much as you can, Casper...
In the world of shiny waxie-schmaxy - it's the most important factor in the photography field...

The simple, deep, beauty of life, all elements joined in this photograph. Animals and humans combined in the gentle suffused backlight. Very sensitive and at the same time funny note to go with it. I love this. Polonaise said it much better:)
