Photographer’s Note

Hi,
It's kind of addictive really, once you try it it's difficult to not do it again...
So again on early Sunday morning I woke up 4:30am, packed up and drove 1 hour to this magical place between Potknockie and Cullen bay, where I spent the morning taking photographs and watching the beginning of a new day, listening to the whispers of the sea...
soaking in the fresh air...
very memorable and so relaxing after long working week.
This one was taken about 20 minutes before the sunrise, 3 exposures blended together, RAW mode, CPL filter & tripod used.

Hi Tomasz,
Very much worth the early rise, the pre-dawn sky looks truly wonderful. Your timing is perfect, just enough light to create that dramatic effect on the clouds.
Again just enough light on the foreground rocks to bring out some detail but still give the silhouette look.
Very impressive image.

Amazing view of the sea and the rocks that seem to emerge out of the fog. Well done with the perspective: it leads the eyes to the big rocks and arch in the middle of the picture. And what to say about the great color shade in the sky.

Hi Tomasz,

I like the colours and the atmosphere you captured here. It is really worth to wake up early.
I would try to manege the overburned lights in the sea because it makes that I concentrate on them and not on the rest.

A spectacular sunrise, with marvellous silhouettes of the rock, (which resembles a toothbrush), & striking warm cold colour contrasts. Good sharpness & contrast. Tfs!

That's a fantastic photograph! Worthwhile all the work to get it, as it was a real pleasure staying at that place, looking at that beauty, taking pictures and then looking at them later on! Good you share them with all of us here at TE!
I love the shape of the rocks by the sea, the effect you managed to get in the water and the colors up in the sky!
It's simply magnificent!

it's gratifying to get such a great POV when waking up early in the morning.
Great effect on the water : the rocks (in a nice perspective) seem to get off the fog.

nice shot, with good perspective and depth, the low POV gave you a good vantage point. I like the exposure to get warm colours and the misty water surounding the rocks

Hej,

fajna zimna kolorystyka i prawie kosmiczne kształty skał, widok jak z innej, obcej planety. Ciekawe jak by wyglądało z inną kompozycją-z nie tak centralnie ułożonymi skałami... ale jest ok. Fajna jakość, krystalicznie czyste kolorki.
