Photographer’s Note

Here is another picture from the Edinburgh Festival.

So far the Festival has not been the best! Edinburgh has been raining for the past few weeks. So the street performers haven't been out. Mind you, I didn't go out in the rain so I don't know for sure! They might of been there!:-) Anyway, This is one from my trip down the Royal Mile just before the start of the Festival, maybe about 3 weeks ago.

This boy really caught my attention as I also play the guitar. I can honestly say he was fantastic! When I took this picture he was playing Back in Black by AC/DC. He mainly played old rock songs that most people would know or heard of. There was a large group of people around him all enjoying his great talent.

I hope the weather brightens up here so I can get more pictures, not that good pictures only depend on the sun! I just think I depend on it more!:-)

Nice view of the boy plaing the guitar. Very good colours and details taking in consideration the low light.

Hello Blair,
I know this guitar very well, I play one, too. And I can tell you which part of the song he plays. It was the the first riff, wasn´t it? Anyway, great dailylife scene. Good sharpness and great colors.

PS: I can highly reconmend this 70-200mm, it`s perfectly sharp with an amazing image quality and it`s an eyecatcher for all the other people ;-) What I have my eyes on is the 24-70mm f/2,8 L USM, that one and I`m a complete photographer ;-) Have a nice evening!

This is a really nice new picture....you took the photo is the exactly right moment and caught the boys expression well. Two years ago I also visited the Edinburgh Festival, it was a really nice event I won´t forget so soon. Quality, sharpness, exposure and colors are also good, but that main thing, that makes the picture so nice, is just the boys expression...well done !
