Leaving Inverie Photo

Photographer’s Note

Inverie is on Knoydart in the Scottish Highlands and is a small community only accessible by boat or foot. We sailed into Inverie and moored overnight before leaving on a beautiful morning with the sun trying to shine through.

The Old Forge is a great pub there with live music and great sea-food, and I am sure I have seen a pirate there!

Hello, Lisa.

This is lovely! I'm sure this must have been a wonderful holiday for you all in this beautiful place.

The picture is lovely and sharp and clear but to me it is just a bit too blue.

Now, maybe that's exactly how it looked that day and at that time but I've done a wee workshop for you. I hope you don't mind. See what you think. I thought my feeble attempts at a workshop have brought out some of the nice lighting on the hills but, if you tell me that my edited version bears no resemblance whatsoever to what you saw that day, I'll fully appreciate that!

A great picture and a fine and interesting note to accompany it - makes me want to visit the place, especially The Old Forge!

It is early morning, I like how you have captured the sun shining through the small gaps in the clouds. Nice effects there. Quiet and peaceful start to the day.
