Photographer’s Note
This is a photo from a recent trip to the Lake District, a place where virtually everywhere is a photo opportunity.
This is a shot of Lake Coniston, looking North. I just pulled my car in at a lay-by, walked to the edge of the lake and this view is that greeted me. I called the photo 'Calm' as that's exactly how it makes me feel.
I used a ND grad filter to balance the exposure and a circular polariser to reduce some glare on the water.
If you've never been and get the chance, make sure you visit the Lake District, it's one of those places which reminds you how beautiful the world is :o)

Hello stranger!!
22 seconds for an exposure during the day tells it all about the weather. I think the west has had it worse than we have this summer. I like how you have used the tree to cover the sky but we can see the drama of it in the reflections. There is plenty of foreground interest with the old dead roots and you have used the perspective of the lake shore to good effect as lead-in. Hope you have some more to show us.

PS Did you notice there is now a 300kb limit. Useful for lots of leaves (or pebbles):D
