Photographer’s Note
I wanted to show some presence from Bateman's Tower in Essex this time and decided that BW was the way to go. I shot it down low with my Sigma 10-20mm (great piece of kit BTW). OK, so there's some convergence (which could have been minimized in Photoshop), but I kinda like it. What do you all think?
From colour, I changed it to an infa-red BW in CS3, added some diffusion, added more texture to the structure (via crosshatch filter, and multiply 25%).
Thanks for looking.
Regards,
TW

That's the way i like it...
The nature/architectural/thing photography at its best, slightly tweaked version..
Better than blue skies and white clouds..

Your portfolio is full of characters. there is some very original and achieved pictures. I suppose it deserves more attention than it has received.
This one is superb, specially with the distortion, the little blur and the strong blacks.

Hi Tim
I like what you have done here. The PP has produced a neat image. The convergence works quite well to exaggerate the tower.
