Here is a different view of the fields near my home.
You can see the lovely wide borders alongside the roads which are left undisturbed by the farmers so that wild flowers and small mammals can thrive. This is pleasing evidence of people showing respect and concern for other living creatures, and a willingness to live in harmony with them.
The day was cloudy but despite that, the multitude of greens can be seen and enjoyed.

Nice shot of the English countryside. Good composition with the road leading into the photo.

a landscape with all its beauty........but what I find here is that the shot is tilted to the left.
If you try to straighten it....the shot seems to fall down.
Is thelens of your Casio OK?
I am also facing a similar problem with my new camera.

Bev, this is a fine one, sun or not, the old country lane I suppose. The fields here are really huge and their color variations is very nice. Are they into harvest already or just planting? Here some of the corn stalks are only a meter high so we are sort of at the start of the growing season.

A superb landscape, a picture very well composed with a good FG on the left, a great depth of field, hot colors of the fields. I like especially the way which structurs all the image.

It is a beautiful rural scene where the haymaking activites have added more interest to the traditional patchwork quilt pattern. Expertly composed with the lead-in road and the framing tree on the left. So many shades of green....the result of our weather. ;( Sometimes I think I would trade some good weather for arid countryside. ;D

Nice pov on this landscape, good light for colours, well composed too, tfs.

The drystone walls and the road make fine lead-ins for this composition, strongly anchored by the tree at the left.
An excellent image from your little Casio.
The curving and straight rows of the cut grass in the nearer fields echo the line of the walls neatly.
The perspective is nicely enhanced by the road as it dips out of sight and then re-appears further on towards the distant hills.
Sharp clear and lovely soft colours.

You have included some very intersting elements to this lovely countryside shot.
The bit of stone fence, the finely textured lines of the cultivated fields and a wonderful bit of yellow to contrast with the beautiful varying shades of green.
Great depth is seen with the cloudy sky framing the distant hills.

a landscape with all its beauty, the road , field, sky and cloud, everything in perfect harmony, with some fantastic colours.
have a nice week end

I recognised the field and the stone wall from your earlier shot! The different point of view shows the well detailed sky and achieves a strong perspective effect from looking down that road. I like the way you composed this. I read the comment about an apparent tilt, but I'm not sure that is the case, as some of the verticals look plumb to me, and the gentle slope could explain the tilt effect. Just the right degree of contrast and extra light has been added. Nicely done.

Hi Beverley, good composed landscape with natural colors.

A simple picture... at first sight but a very good composition, very good choice of point of vue and very good exposure. Love the road guiding the eye all through the picture.

your title says a lot about this beautiful picture and it's fully justified! I think that this harmony comes from your excellent composition and POV and also the wonderful "soft" colours as a result to great light managment! Congratulations!

The image scents the land...
Rajeev points out the tilt, which can be altered..
Take care, smile.
Enjoy life, shoot :)

It is all there..!
The patchwork of fields, slowly rolling into the horizon and divided by stone fences and an odd countryside road...
A well composed presentation, where inclusion of the tree balance the scene nicely!
npecanhuk (69552) 2008-07-30 8:38
That's your style and I really like it!
The fields look really nice, with natural and beautiful colors, good texture and sharpness!
I also like the road that leads our eyes to the endless space where we can travel! The side framing, with the tree and wall is a very good idea as well!
TFS - Congratulations!

Hi Bev. Nice capture. We can see the patchwork that are the fields in this area. Well framed with the tree on the left. The road and stone fences make a good lead-in and guide the eye through the scene. Thanks for sharing.
Have a good Sunday, Paul.
