Jungle Fever
Talybont, Powys, UK

I converted this one to b&w on a whim, added a little tint and ended up being quite taken with its old school looks. Rough and ready, I decided not to tamper with the stray light.

The woods above Talybont reservoir offer a multitude of locations for anyone interested in falling water, mosssy rocks, ferns and the like. Also on offer, more than a few opportunites to break your neck - or your equipment - or both - on slippy rocks adjacent to large drop-offs.

Hello, Colin -
Amazing location for a slow shutter effect shot, with the multiple layers of cascades. Wonderful light and atmosphere. Great choice of monochrome. Excellent rustic atmosphere to the image. Well done.

Superb shot Colin!

Nice choice of the black and white which brings the focus to the detail in the shot. I like the misty effect in the woods above the falls.
Yeah, sometimes you need to venture into some dangerous locations to 'get the shot'.

All the best,
- Dan

Hello Colin,
the location is truly evocative and you managed to bring in a beautiful mood here. The long exposure added that special touch of magic beside the little tint you decided to go with. The compo looks beautiful and well balanced thanks to the trees above the waterfall. A truly beautiful picture, I like it!
Regards,

Igor

This looks like a great waterfall to photograph. The B&W gives a very dramatic feeling and the slow speed created a good sense of motion. We can almost hear the water falling. So, you have done a good work even if I think it is a bit over sharpened. Well done.
Antonio

un lieu qui a l'air bien sauvage en effet; très belle ambiance et bon choix entre Noir et Sépia qui fait bien photo rétro

Hi Colin. A very impressive waterfall. I think the black and white works extremely well to emphasise the flow of the water, particularly around the base. Very successful! Chris
