Photographer’s Note
Picture of Wastwater taken from the lakeshore footpath at the base of the famous screes. The lake is the deepest in England, at 79 metres (258 feet),and measures approximately 4.6 kilometres (almost 3 miles) long and 600 metres (more than a third of a mile) wide, it is located in the Wasdale valley. The mountains in the backround are (Left to right) Yewbarrow, Kirk Fell and Great Gable.
A little cropping and saturation enhancement to the shot, thanks for looking.

Hello Steve,
A lovely lake view and a good shot. The composition is great. The shoreline curves make the foreground interesting. The colors are good and clear. Well done!
Greetings,

Great shot Steve. I like your composition, the strong reflections in the water and the way in which the dark slope of the mountain coming down from the top right draws the viewer's eye into the distance.

Hi Steve,
This is a really good image with a nice still lake. I would maybe have exposed for a little longer just so that the trees to teh left had a bit more detail, but other than that great.
Well done.

Steve,
Stunning setting, the blue reflection of a turquoise sky looks really unusual. Like it. TFS.
Cheers,
Gavin

Wastwater is one of the most beautiful places on earth. That late afternoon among that silence with my family is still on the lake of my most precious memories. I don't recognize this pov. I lingered for an hour just at the entrance of the lake when you arrive from the Wasdale forest. Your photo is nice. If your little W30 allowed, a ND grad would be great to darken that sky a bit. The rest is good. I want to return here for sure...
