Photographer’s Note
The Pembrokeshire Coast Path runs right along the top of Newgale Beach, a fantastic sight in broad daylight as the sands stretch out for miles in front of you. But if you are lucky enough to chance upon it just as the sun goes down, and the mist rolls over the headland from St David's and Ramsey Island, then this could well be the view you will be blessed with. Sit amongst the caves of layered and twisted rock at the north end, or on the shingle ridge that runs the entire length of the beach, and let yourself be taken back to times prehistoric and imagine how many sunsets like this have touched this beach.
