This is a further posting showing a scene along the banks of the Leeds to Liverpool Canal.
This shows one of the many bridges which spans the canal close to the locks at Barrowford. It is edged with white to enable the navigators to be aware of it in dull weather.
In the foreground can be seen one of the many narrowboats which sail along the canal. Some of these narrowboats are permanent homes, some are holiday homes and some are hired out by companies to visitors for short holidays.
Click here to access an Internet link which will tell you more about the canal and narrowboats.
Many thanks for stopping by.
I hope you found it interesting.
Please feel free to offer feedback on any aspect of the photograph.

this is a beautiful spring view with lovely light and color and a very peaceful scene. I love the bright red canal boat. Those are so interesting. I feel, though, that too much frame kind of overpowers the shot. I have done a workshop with a more narrow frame, but having to resize it didn't help the details any. I hope you don't mind. It's just a matter of personal preference, actually. Many thanks and kindest wishes,

the frame is a question of taste, either you like it or you don`t like it, I feel like it`s a bit too much, but seeing the image itself I have to admit it doesn`t look that bad at all, in fact it looks pretty good!
The colors are great (especially the red boat, which helps to create a nice contrast), the depth of field is very good, and the green tones are wonderful. I like the whole composition, the image is very good, as I said before the frame is a question of taste, but I would be crazy not to give you two points on such a well composed picture.

What a lovely peaceful scene we have here with the sparkling blue water seen flowing under this canal bridge. The inclusion of both the canal boats and the stairway to the towpath is most charming. The colors are crystal clear with razor sharp details to this beautiful country scene.

Very pleasant place !
The way you've composed with the canal and the bridge is very well done, your picture is well balanced.
Good idea to have included the stairs in the right part to give depth.
The red barge brings a luminous touch in that green tone.
Perhaps I would have cropped a little to remove the part of the faded sky to accentuate the depth, and stay with the green and country atmosphere. Just my opinion.
Very nice spring shot.

Bev, I debated about this or the foulridge mile tunnel and I think this the better of the two, I'll get to the other eventually. The composition of this one is classic and wonderful, you do a great job.

Good morning Beverly,
The series about the canal barges, raised thoughts about a styled vacation, something we do not have in Israel. Therefore most intriguing.
The calm rythm afloat can be awsome adventure.
Fine picture with the bridge aloow an eye on it's other side, red boat on side.
Have a nice day,
